All supplies included
Tuesday 6:30-9pm November 10th
*This is the second class in the Paint the West Series, but you may drop in to a single class at a time if you aren’t taking the full series! Each class covers a new lesson and skill. If you would like to dive in and take the full series each Tuesday in November, click here.
Discover the foundations of oil painting in this supportive oil painting class designed for those just starting out, or those looking for deeper quality instruction and experimentation. In this class, travel through the American West to paint the iconic Rocky Mountains.
Through step-by-step demos, you’ll learn essential techniques for landscape painting including color mixing, layering, perspective and style.
Follow along with instructor Morgan Jones’ demo to learn techniques and complete a guided painting, or bring your own related image to apply demonstrated techniques to complete a painting of your own with individual guidance.
All supplies are included for use in class, and no prior experience necessary!
Recommended age 14 and up. Minors to be accompanied by adults with their own tickets. Here is a guide to oil painting safety- we will go over this in class as well.
*Prepare a space in your car to take your paintings home- it will still be wet to the touch as oil paintings take a long time to dry. You can lay it flat in the trunk with our newsprint, or bring a brown paper grocery bag to store it in during transport
