Seasonal Still Life Series- Tuesdays in December

$310.00

All supplies included

Tuesdays 6:30-9pm in December (1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th)

Discover the foundations of oil painting in this supportive 4-week course designed for those just starting out, or those looking for deeper quality instruction and experimentation. In this series, paint seasonal items that bring you joy while teaching you how to hone your observational skills. We will paint from both photographic references and real life objects. Through step-by-step demos, you’ll learn effects of light, reflection, and creating three dimensional form.

Each week of this course we will create a different painting to practice different skills. Taking the full series will help you progress from week to week as skills are reinforced and built upon from lesson to lesson, but if you cannot attend all 5 classes, you can sign up for the individual sessions you would like to attend. (Go back to the classes page to add them to your cart individually). If you would like to take all 5 classes, register here for the bundled discount.

Class 1: Holiday Mule (from photo reference)

Class 2: Pomegranate Bruschetta (from life)

Class 3: Mason Jar Candles (from life)

Class 4: Reflective Bobbles and Ribbon (from life)

Class 5: Winter Figs (from photo reference)

All supplies are included for use in class, and no prior experience necessary!

Recommended age 14 and up. Minors to be accompanied by adults with their own tickets. Here is a guide to oil painting safety- we will go over this in class as well.

*Prepare a space in your car to take your paintings home- it will still be wet to the touch as oil paintings take a long time to dry. You can lay it flat in the trunk with our newsprint, or bring a brown paper grocery bag to store it in during transport
