Oil Painting 4 week series in June
Thursdays 6:30-9pm in June
(June 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th)
Discover the foundations of oil painting in this supportive 4-week course designed for beginners or those looking for deeper quality instruction. Through step-by-step demos, you’ll learn essential techniques including color mixing, brushwork, layering, and how to observe and paint light. Over the course, students will complete three paintings—a landscape, a still life, and a botanical study—each offering a different approach to composition, color, and mark-making. Along the way, we’ll explore materials, painting processes, and practical skills to help you build confidence and develop a strong foundation for continuing in oils.
All supplies are included, and no prior experience necessary!
Recommended age 14 and up. Minors to be accompanied by adults with their own tickets.
*Prepare a space in your car to take your paintings home- it will still be wet to the touch as oil paintings take a long time to dry. You can lay it flat in the trunk, or bring a brown paper grocery bag to store it in during transport
