Create whimsical paintings inspired by folk art traditions. This watercolor workshop focuses on simplifying animals into bold, expressive shapes. We’ll look at how folk artists use silhouettes, pattern, and limited color to create memorable and enchanting imagery. Through guided exercises, you’ll practice reducing forms into clear, graphic shapes and painting them with confident, fluid watercolor washes. This class is beginner-friendly and perfect for anyone interested in illustration, stylized animals, or the charm of folk-inspired design.

All materials provided for use in class. Finished artwork will be 9×12

Recommended age 12 and up. Minors to be accompanied by adults with their own tickets.
