Wednesday December 17th 6:30pm - 9pm
Play with bold, experimental painting techniques as you create a modern, expressive artwork to display in your home! Starting from loose figure sketches, you’ll learn approachable methods for understanding proportion and movement—then quickly move into free-flowing, large-scale painting. Explore a mix of dynamic painting exercises designed to help you capture the essence of the human form with energy and style. Finish class with a vibrant, contemporary figure painting on a larger surface. (Pre-drawn poses available for tracing if you’d like a little guidance for your final piece.)
All materials provided for use in class.
*There are not live models in this class. We will work from still images of poses. There will not be full nudity in the images. Recommended age 14 and up. Minors to be accompanied by adults with their own tickets.

In this class, we’ll explore the fluid movement and blooming effects that make watercolor come alive—perfect for capturing emotion with minimal lines and bold, organic flow. Learn how to draw features, and approachable techniques for balancing gesture and restraint as you paint portraits that feel both effortless and striking. Experiment freely with how watercolor blooms, blends, and interacts with the paper to create a contemporary piece worthy of your wall. (Pre-sketched portrait options available for tracing if you’d like a little help!)
Class suited for beginners and experienced painters alike.
